Ilkal and the tope teni pallu

Ilkal is not a trend. It is a town, a pallu construction, and a way of dressing for temple and field alike. The tope teni is extra weft, dense and proud. On our last visit we watched a young weaver take the pit loom after her mother. That continuity is why Sahasrabha exists.
